1. Early Childhood and Lower Elementary Teachers 

Position: Early Childhood Teachers / Lower Elementary Teachers
Age Group: 3-6 years old / 6-9 years old
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach, guide, supervise, and assess children's learning in all subjects (practical life skills, sensorial activities, mathematics, language development, cultural subjects; science, history, geography)

  • Develop tailored lesson plans, exercises, curricula, and methods.

  • Establish and maintain a quality educational program following Ayhay Christian School’s curriculum and philosophy.

  • Prepare the classroom environment, educational materials, and equipment.

  • Supervise classroom assistants, aides, interns, substitutes, and parent volunteers.

  • Communicate with parents and be available for academic related discussions

  • Assess prospective children as part of the admissions process.

  • Attend faculty meetings and scheduled school community/team events.

  • Promote good communication among team members and school community.

Requirements:

  • Commitment and creativity.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • University degree or attestation.

  • Experience in working with and teaching children.

  • Ability to work with children, parents, and staff.

  • Positive and open attitude towards all children.

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.

2. Language Arts and Humanities Teachers for Upper Elementary and Erdkinder

Position: Language Arts and Humanities Teachers
Age Group: 9-12 years old (Upper Elementary) / 12-15 years old (Erdkinder)
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach, develop and extend writing and reading skills across Ayhay Christian School’s curriculum.

  • Foster appreciation of various forms of expression in spoken, written, visual, and multimodal texts.

  • Develop listening skills for effective participation in exchanges and presentations.

  • Study human groups from different historical eras and their cultural development.

  • Review geographic and climatic data to understand environmental impacts on cultures.

Requirements:

  • English language fluency.

  • Creativity and proactivity.

  • Student management and organizational skills.

  • University degree or attestation

  • Experience in teaching literary subjects, including History, Humanities, English, and Malagasy Language.

3. STEM Teacher for Upper Elementary and Erdkinder

Position: STEM Teachers
Age Group: 9-12 years old (Upper Elementary) / 12-15 years old (Erdkinder)
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach STEM subjects and build connections between mathematical and scientific knowledge.

  • Collect and interpret geological and mineral data.

  • Compare and contrast ecosystems and their functions.

  • Track trends in animal lifestyle.

  • Investigate physics in the environment.

Requirements:

  • English language fluency.

  • Creativity and proactivity.

  • Student management and organizational skills.

  • University degree or attestation

  • Experience in teaching scientific subjects, including Biological and Physical Sciences, Earth Science, Mathematics, and Technology.

4. HR - Administrative Coordinator 

Position: HR - Administrative Coordinator
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements human resources management strategies and forecasts.

  • Undertakes the recruitment process.

  • Develops and maintains students and parents’ records.

  • Maintains personnel records.

  • Develops performance management procedures.

  • Produces reports on HR and administrative activities.

  • Coordinates training sessions.

  • Manages administrative tasks and communications for faculty and staff, parents and students.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of human resources processes.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Human Resources Management software.

  • Ability to handle data confidentially.

  • English language fluency.

  • Creativity and proactivity.

  • Organizational skills.

  • University degree in Management, Human Resources, Communication, or related fields.

5. Academic Coordinator

Position: Academic Coordinator
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and monitors the curriculum to meet educational standards and address the needs of students.

  • Oversees the academic programs and courses offered by Ayhay Christian School

  • Ensures the quality assurance, including standard compliance and program evaluation.

  • Organizes and coordinates school programs, events, and activities.

  • Assists the Head of the school with executive and administrative responsibilities.

  • Co-organizes faculty and staff professional development programs.

  • Oversees the student assessment, progress and reports.

  • Ensures communication and collaboration between stakeholders, faculty and staff, students and parents.

  • Participates in decisions and admissions.

Requirements:

  • Background in child education.

  • Curriculum management skills.

  • Computer skills.

  • Leadership and team management experience.

  • English language fluency.

  • University degree in Education, Management, or related fields.

6. Special Educator

Position: Special Educator

Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Provides specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities.

  • Develops and implement Individualized Education Plans tailored to each student's needs.

  • Adapts general education curriculum to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of students.

  • Collaborates closely with special education teams, general education teachers, and support staff.

  • Implements positive behavior support plans and interventions.

  • Conducts ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.

  • Maintains regular communication with parents to discuss student progress and strategies for support.

  • Participates in team meetings, professional development activities, and school events.

  • Advocates for the educational and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities within the school community.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.

  • Previous experience working as a special educator or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of special education policies, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Empathy and dedication to supporting the academic and personal growth of students with disabilities.

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
